WebPayments.ie is one year old!

happy birthday to webpayments WebPayments.ie is one year old this month. Work started on the site in December 2008 and it was finally launched on April 17th 2009. Since the launch there has been a steady stream of traffic to the site, over 50,000 unique visitors in the past year according to statcounter.

Over the past year we have continued to update the site adding new sections and new content based on feedback from our readers. The most recent addition is the Merchant Account Guide which is an area of online payments where there was much confusion. We will continue to add new and expand on existing content over the next year.

The provider comparison section has proved to be the most popular section of the site. We are continuing to update it adding new provider profiles as competition in the Irish market increases.

The forum now has 111 registered users and there has been over 180 posts. Thank you to everyone who has been entering the discussions on the forums and also in the blog comments.

WebPayments.ie - 2 months on...

WebPayments.ie launched on April 17th, 2009. After 2 weeks I did a blog post showing details of website traffic taken from statcounter.com. The site was live 2 months on June 17th so I decided I'd do a similar post and share some statistics with you.

According to Statcounter we have had 8,348 unique visitors and 17,890 page loads between April 17th and June 17th. This works out at an average of 289 page views and 135 unique visitors per day.
