Ebay announced successful end of year results. Revenue from their payments business which includes PayPal showed an increase of 28%. Chief executive John Donahoe said that he expects PayPal revenue to overtake eBay market place in the next few years.

In 2009 PayPal announced that they would be creating 150 new jobs at their European Centre of Excellence in Dublin. Earlier this week they announced that they will be creating a further 100 jobs in Dublin.

The Dublin Web Summit will take place in Trinity College on Thursday February 4th 2010. CraigsList founder, Craig Newmark and Wordpress founder Matt Mullenweg will be the keynote speakers at the event. Realex Payments founder Colm Lyon will be speaking on the panel at the event also.

Online gaming services provider Cryptologic and Realex Payments have announced a 3 year deal that will see Realex Payments provide payment processing for Cryptologic.

What is the story with Dublin Web summit? Sounds like an interesting line up of speakers. I must check out the link when have time later.
